Gas Station Simulator, but more chill?

Main Post:

I really like this game. All the stuff you do in it is the perfect mind-number for me, but it's so hectic, I just can't relax when playing it. The constant honking, the blinking of objectives, sprinting between buildings...

I guess I want something similar, but with a pace closer to Animal Crossing?

Top Comment: May wanna check out ContractVille, which is getting some buzz lately. It's absolutely ridiculous in many ways but it seems like it would fit what you're looking for.

[WSIB] Management Games like Gas Station Simulator

Main Post:

I’ve been looking at simulation games on the steam sale, mostly because I don’t have a ton of time after work to play games anymore (maybe like 1-2 hours a day max).

I have Gas Station Simulator and I really like that I can pick it up and put it down quickly, or play for a while if i wanted to.

These games caught my attention but I’ve heard mixed things

  • Rimworld
  • Chef Life
  • Big Ambitions
  • Contraband Police
  • Police Simulator
  • Captain if Industry
  • Anno 1800

Games I’ve played and enjoyed similar to what I’m looking for:

  • Cooking Simulator
  • American Trucking Sim
  • Satisfactory (got overwhelming after a while so I put it down)
  • Farming Sim 2013
  • PC Building Sim 1/2

Those are just things I saw on sale and thought I might like but any other suggestions are welcome!

Top Comment: I can't speak with authority on much to this list besides Rimworld and Police Simulator. Police Simulator is pretty janky. I feel like it's probably only worth buying if you've got a friend to play it with. A lot of it is glitchy and the gameplay can get very tedious after a while. Rimworld is kind of the same, but there's a lot more replay value since it plays more like an RTS. A good way I can think to describe it is like Dwarf Fortress mixed with Prison Architect. It's sorta got elements from both in that you can designate zones to sort materials, and you can go mining into mountains and stuff to get more resources. It's fun times, but I can see why people would have mixed feelings on it. It can definitely take a bit to get used to it. That being said it's a very easy game to mod, so you can mess with a lot of stuff and add extra things if you ever get bored. Personally my favorite simulator-style game right now is the Powerwash Simulator. It's strangely addictive and fun to kill time on when you just wanna lay back, relax and listen to music or something.

Natural Gas Vent early game?

Main Post:

Hi all, been looking around, and played a little of Spaced Out, but stopped a month after. With this new update, and the changes made since spaced out first came out, is there anything I need to know for a new power source using Natural Gas? I saw a bunch of stuff about the food, but I'm not worried about that yet.
Everything I've found is months if not years old. How relative is this stuff, and is it still useful? I'm JUST getting some gold amalgam, so hopefully that can handle the 302 degrees F (sorry, still not used to Celsius yet).

Thoughts? Suggestions? Any is helpful, thanks!

Top Comment:

Make a liquid lock to gain access, leave natural terrain to soak heat, Gold Amalgam pump will be good for a loooooong time, eventually replace with steel.

Bear in mind a Natural Gas vent produces enough gas to run 2 Generators continuously during it's active period, or 1 Generator for all time if you store enough gas for the dormant period. If the vent is otherwise going to over-pressurize you don't need to be concerned about wasting gas by running a Generator (or two) without a Smart Battery.

Games like gas station simulator?

Main Post:

Any games very similar to gas station simulator on ps? I really enjoyed that there were lots of things to do and like running a shop basically.

Top Comment:

You don't run a shop but look at hardspace ship breaker which is where you take on a shitload of debt and you then have to pay it off by taking apart space ships and throwing the salvage into the correct area. While not killing yourself with electrical hazards and stuff.

You get money and upgrades etc as you salvage ships and the goal is simply to get out of debt.
